Privacy Policy
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Ever.
1. Who We Are
Cybersonix is a pay-per-stream music platform owned and operated by James Colbourne ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the Cybersonix mobile application and associated services.

2. Data We Collect
Account Data
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Username / display name
- Account type (listener or artist)
- Profile information you choose to provide (bio, profile image)
Wallet Address
To facilitate blockchain transactions, we collect your Solana wallet address. This is required to process USDC top-ups, artist earnings withdrawals, and track purchase payments on the Solana blockchain. Wallet addresses are stored securely and used solely for transaction processing.
Payment Data
Cybersonix processes USDC payments on the Solana blockchain. We record transaction amounts, timestamps, and on-chain transaction identifiers for credit accounting, artist earnings calculation, and dispute resolution. We do not store private keys or seed phrases.
Streaming Data
We collect data about your listening activity, including tracks played, duration of each play session, credits deducted per streaming session, tracks purchased or added to playlists, and artist earnings generated per stream. This data is used to calculate payments to artists, manage your credit balance, and improve the platform.
Technical Data
We may collect device type, operating system version, and app version for debugging and service improvement. We do not collect precise location data.

4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:
- Blockchain transactions: Wallet addresses and transaction amounts are recorded on the public Solana blockchain as an inherent property of on-chain payments.
- Service providers: We use third-party infrastructure providers (hosting, database) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Cybersonix or its users.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Streaming and transaction records are retained for a minimum of 3 years for accounting and dispute resolution purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data storage, secure API communication (HTTPS), and access controls. No system is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and keep your wallet credentials private.
